Some lovely feedback from BlueSky Mind Studio Participant, Sharon, following her sessions with Counsellor Rebecca!

Sharon, one of our BlueSky Mind Studio Participants, recently shared some lovely feedback following her sessions with Counsellor Rebecca.

Seeking out counselling after the passing of a close friend, Sharon is very grateful for the professionalism, care, and warmth shown throughout the process.

“Rebecca was amazing. I felt supported, understood, and guided in a way that made a meaningful difference. The sessions helped me find myself again and helped me understand that my feelings are valid and that setting boundaries is not only okay, but necessary.”

Through the sessions, Rebecca also supported Sharon to build confidence and develop tools she has been able to start using in her day-to-day life.

“Thank you again for the support and the thoughtful work you do, I encourage anyone dealing with mental health issues to give counselling a go.”

Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) Participant, Kodi, has taken an exciting step forward as a volunteer Development Coach with the Rockingham Flames! 🏀 🔥

Kodi is a huge basketball fan and has previous coaching experience. Building off this, the Status team from Kwinana worked with Rockingham Flames to identify an opportunity that aligned with Kodi’s interests, existing coaching experience and goals.

Kodi is thriving in the role, leading and engaging groups of young players. He continues to be supported by the Status team through workplace adjustments, helping him succeed in the role while managing Crohn’s disease.

We were honoured to host Amanda Rishworth MP and Senator Dorinda Cox during Adult Learners Week.

The visit showcased the work of the Pivot Training RTO #46089 Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program, with SEE Participants sharing their experiences, achievements and future aspirations. It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase how personalised learning and employment supports can work together to help people build skills, confidence and pathways towards their goals.

James’ journey is proof that with the right support, goals can become reality!

This year, teams from Status Employment Services, BlueSky Mind Studio, and Pivot Training RTO #46089 have worked together to support James in building his skills and independence.

What makes our services unique is the collaboration between our teams, making it easier for Participants to access additional supports when needed. By working together, we can provide tailored pathways that help Participants achieve their employment and training goals!

With support from our Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) team, Pivot Training RTO #46089 and BlueSky Mind Studio, James is achieving his goals!

When James first joined Status, he recognised that he would like to build his confidence and create a pathway towards greater independence and employment.

As part of this journey, James enrolled in the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program through Pivot Training RTO #46089. Recently, he successfully completed his first SEE assessment, achieving a milestone that once seemed out of reach and demonstrating just how far his determination and perseverance have taken him.

Recently, James started a new role at a local library, stepping outside his comfort zone and taking on the new challenge with confidence. James will continue to work closely with the Status and BlueSky Mind Studio teams as he pursues his next goals, including obtaining his Learner's Permit!

Joshua is building confidence, discovering his strengths and exploring employment opportunities through BlueSky Mind Studio's Customised Employment program.

Supported by his NDIS Employment Coach, Amy, he's taking positive steps towards achieving his goals and greater independence.

A few months ago, Joshua wasn't sure what was possible for his future.

Through our Customised Employment program, he worked with his NDIS Employment Coach, Amy, to explore his strengths, interests and conditions for success. Through Discovery, what started as a focus on warehouse work has grown into exploring opportunities connected to his interests in nature, wildlife, animals and the outdoors.

Joshua is now building confidence, stepping outside his comfort zone and working towards greater independence and meaningful employment.
