Empowering the Oakey community through story...
When people gather, stories are told, and as individuals we are able to live many lives. It is up to us to then create opportunities to share stories, especially challenging times, about resilience, coping with adversity, reminding ourselves of the joy of being, and this in turn encourages social cohesion and reduces the sense of isolation. Project 4401 is a series of events over twelve months, giving voice to our youngest community members through to our oldest, using a number of platforms to record these stories and insights and ideas about how to deal with drought.
