Our Stirling residents and staff recently marked Indian Independence Day with a joyful celebration! 🇮🇳

Celebrating the rich culture of India and learning more with a quiz, the afternoon was a wonderful cultural showcase with Indian cuisine including masala chai and sweets, dance, music, beautiful traditional dress and impressive henna designs.

Earlier this month, our Mt Warrigal residents enjoyed a great bus trip outing together!

First, our residents stopped at Maccas for some morning tea and a coffee followed by lunch at Altitude 1148. Overlooking the coastline, here they enjoyed a wonderful meal and taking in the stunning views. ☀️

On Tuesday, Tony, one of our Stirling residents, along with members from the Warrigal Stirling team, attended the Vietnam Veterans’ Day Memorial Service on ANZAC Parade. ❤️

This service held significant meaning for Tony who served during the Vietnam War. Many gathered to honour and pay tribute to those who bravely served, including the Governor-General Sam Mostyn, who Tony was able to meet.

Thank you John, from Stirling’s local RSL, for helping organise this meaningful outing for Tony.

Recently, Freda, the Treasurer of the Goulburn Auxiliary, and our oldest serving volunteer at 96 years old, was presented with her 10 Years of Service Award! Members of the team including our Chief Operating Officer, Craig Smith, joined to celebrate Freda on this amazing achievement. ⭐️

Her ongoing commitment and dedication are an inspiration, and we are extremely grateful for the contributions she makes at . Congratulations Freda!

Meet Gwen, one of our talented residents at The Links Seaside by .

We recently interviewed Gwen who shared her story and passion for writing. Gwen has a particular interest in writing about untold women’s history and has published 3 books including an anthology written by The SeaQuills Writing Group.

Gwen has also enjoyed sharing her passion with others, helping them develop their writing skills and technique by leading workshops at libraries. 📚

This week marks National Youth Volunteer Week. ⭐️

At , we’re proud to welcome young volunteers ranging from children volunteering alongside their parents, to high school students completing school-based programs, through to university students. The impact these young volunteers have and the joy they bring is a wonderful reminder of the importance of intergenerational connection in enhancing social wellbeing and building friendships.

We're excited to welcome 21 students and teachers from Corpus Christi Catholic High School who will visit our care homes throughout the remainder of 2026 and 2027 as part of their Community Outreach Program.

Visiting fortnightly, these students will participate in a range of activities including gardening clubs, walking groups, cooking experiences and morning teas. And they're already eager to get involved, with Bingo sessions high on their list of new skills to learn! 🪴

Thank you Corpus Christi for partnering with us, helping us to enrich the lives of our residents. 💜
