Last Saturday at the Tanunda Show we sent the Skintech Medical team along to provide free skin checks to the attendees. 85 people were checked with the Skintech team noting a younger demographic being checked than they usually see. (Great!) It was concerning though that out of these 85 people there were 15 possible melanomas detected. (Not so great)
We will be sending the team along to the Barossa Co-op Mall in June for our annual 2 day pop up clinic. Keep your eyes on our Socials as it gets closer to June to see the dates and for online booking.

Our first FREE Skin Cancer check for 2026 will be held at the Tanunda Show on 14th March. Checks will be open from 8.30 am and no appointments necessary. Going along and having a great time at the Show may even save your life!!

What a day! 💙

On behalf of the Kuchel Family and The Tony Kuchel Skin Cancer Foundation Inc., we are beyond thrilled to announce that over $56,000 was raised at last Sunday’s Tony Kuchel Memorial Round-Up!

This year’s event was our most successful yet - a true reflection of what can be achieved when a community comes together with purpose.

The grounds were buzzing with energy, with more than 1,150 attendees, 60 trucks, 70 cars, and 15 motorbikes on display - an incredible turnout (especially after that misleading weather forecast! ☀️).

Skin Tech Medical once again provided free skin checks throughout the day, completing 122 checks and identifying several cases of melanoma and other skin cancers - checks that may very well have saved lives.

None of this would be possible without our generous sponsors, dedicated volunteers, amazing auction donors, and everyone who came along to support the cause.

Looking ahead, proceeds from this year’s event will enable us to bring pop-up skin clinics to two additional rural towns while continuing our annual Barossa Mall two day clinic, ensuring that even more regional South Australians can access life-saving screenings.
