The Barossa Co-op is a retail co-operative with more than 17,000 members. Started in 1944, we are Australia’s largest retail co-op, including South Australia’s third largest independent supermarket, a Mitre 10 stores, Betta Electrical, Sportspower, Toyworld and a comprehensive range of homewares and fashion. This year will see an exciting new supermarket begin construction. It’s the first stage in

a major shopping centre redevelopment in Nuriootpa and is due to open in 2017. The Co-op is owned by the community, so we aim to give back in the form of donations, sponsorships and special events. Co-op Care is a new volunteering program that allows us to help the community at a grass roots level.

Based at our Murray Street warehouse in Nuriootpa, this role is all about keeping things moving — receiving stock, staying organised, and making sure everything is in the right place at the right time (especially when things get busy).
