Recently while out in Numinbah Valley we spotted a satin bower bird area where the male built a bower and surrounded it with blue paraphenalia he's collected and its used to attract a mate where he will then do a courtship dance in hopes of getting lucky.
Also, theres a native passionfruit vine with an extraordinary flower. The fruit is edible but not very enticing.
Finally the very interesting black bootlace orchid with its perfumed yellow and white flowers.

From out in Natural Bridge... here we have 3 different photo points each showing 3 progress shots. 1. before works commenced then 2. after 1 year and then the 3rd and final photo was taken after 2 years. This is rainforest and the regeneration has been exceptional. We had a bit of trouble with cattle getting in the area but other than that its been really successful.

Walking through our site in Austinville and look heres a madeira vine growing out of the fork in the trunk of an old dead tree.

Anredera cordifolia, commonly known as the Madeira vine or mignonette vine, is a South American species of ornamental succulent vine of the family Basellaceae. The combination of fleshy leaves and thick aerial tubers makes this a very heavy vine. It smothers trees and other vegetation it grows on and can easily break branches and bring down entire trees on its own. Other names include lamb's tail and potato vine.

How good is this! Even though the reason is beyond sad, imagine having koala cuddles while camping out!

A koala curled up on a camper’s chest in the middle of the night. It happened at Diamond Head Campground, Crowdy Bay National Park, NSW, where deforestation nearby has pushed koalas into campsites. A man documenting his trip caught it all on camera the koala climbed onto his sleeping bag and stayed there till sunrise.

Rangers later said displaced koalas sometimes seek warmth from people when their trees are gone.

Introducing this legend Jesse Dale to the community, he's as hard working and reliable as any aussie digger ever gets! Im not biased even though we do happen to share the same bloodline, its always an honour and pleasure working alongside you bro! Jesse loves working in the bush, smashing through rough terrain and getting high quality results in conservation regeneration. He has earned himself a solid reputation for smashing out packs of herbicide on environmental weeds and replenishing the life force with a nice and cold, frothy b**r afterwork. Outside of work he enjoys fishing and spending time with his closest people. Your always as humble as can be bro, honestly look at you does it get any better? I think the best is yet to come bro, lets get the dogs! Jesse Dale

Here's our site in Natural Bridge where we have been working over the past year alongside the Gold Coast City Council, Land For Wildlife. It's coming along great! Big ups everyone, we made it to 2025!
I hope you gave yourself a big hug and a pat on the back for how far you've come.

Its been a time of rejuvination and reflection for us, celebrating achievements and recognising where the work needs doing this year.

Lets move forward with Self Love 🫶.

Set goals and remember to enjoy the journey it takes to get there!

My intention is to build a better lifestyle and healthier habits this year so I have given up the b**rs for a month and have been learning to surf!

Even though I grew up on the Gold Coast with its world famous beaches I got into skating and painting so I missed out on all the fun of surfing waves and getting fully pitted...

I've been grinding it out doing strength and mobility exercises before work everyday for a couple years which is orsum but recently I felt it was time for a new challenge.

Surfing each morning. Im fully stoked to be a grommit at the age of 37yrs. It is so much fun! Its really hard while learning and Ive had to keep on trying to build up a little bit of confidence. Im overcoming the embarrassment of sucking at it and now I get such a big boost of enthusiasm when I catch a wave and actually ride it! Even though Im gumby, I look forward to being able to do some maneurves and carve it up!

I hope your all making time for yourself in this busy, crazy, hussle and bussle we call life and I especially want to remind you to enjoy the journey!

I think this year is going to be the best one yet!!!
