Dear Vikings family,

It’s with great sadness we share the shocking news of a Vikings brother who has passed away.

Jeffery Winmar entered the Dreamtime on Saturday surrounded by his family and loved ones while in a Melbourn Hospital.

Jeffery was new to our club this year, but his impact and presence will forever be etched in our club. His talent was unmatched in our league, and his kindness was equally beyond compare.

His death is being investigated so we will be reaching out to his family to offer any support our club can provide during this extremely challenging time.

To all his family and friends around Australia, most importantly to his family and friends in NSW, VIC and WA, we are so sorry for your loss. We share your pain and send our thoughts and strength to you, and hope you get the answers you deserve so Jeffery can rest in peace.

Vikings take on Figtree at Nowra Showground, game kicking off at 12.

After the game the club will be heading back to west Street oval to do the awards we're the club welcomes everyone and we hope to see many faces.

The club is also looking for an umpire for tomorrow, if you or someone you know would like to earn some pocket money please get in contact.
