With only ~1,200 individuals remaining, Sumatran elephants need all the help they can get, and we are committed to doing our part!

There is still time to donate to our holiday conservation fundraiser to help us complete a wildlife corridor within vital elephant habitat! We have reached ~60% of the total needed to acquire a new and important piece of land to help us achieve this goal.

Elephants frequently traverse through this area and if we are unable to secure it, it is very likely it will be developed, causing human animal conflict in the future.

Let’s talk about reforestation! 🌱

Our reforestation program has resulted in hundreds of trees being planted in the wildlife corridor! It all begins in our tree nursery where we plant seeds and look after them until they are old enough to be planted and survive on their own!

We rely heavily on our volunteers to assist us in the nursery, planting trees and looking after them once they are planted. With so many trees planted, it takes a lot of people to upkeep them and ensure their survival!

Have you ever wanted to help with reforestation practices and plant your own tree in the Sumatran jungle to directly benefit wildlife? Come join our project in North Sumatra and help reforest critical pieces of land adjacent to the Gunung Leuser National Park!
