East Torrens Historical Society ETHS MEETINGS

Our General meetings are held on the second Wednesday in February, April, June,
August and October of each year. All Welcome. All welcome.

A community group that promotes the collection, recording, preservation and classification of works, source material and artifacts of all kinds relating to the former East Torrens district council area. Committee meetings are held 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month when
required.

Basket Range - house built by Alfred and Elsie Burdett in 1915, sold to the Moyle family in 1956, and bought back by Alfred's grandson Andrew Burdett in 2004. Photo taken in 1974 when it was owned by Kingsley and Trixie Moyle and known as "The Chestnuts".

The East Torrens Historical Society proudly congratulates our President, Dr Geoffrey Bishop, on being awarded a Life Long Historian award by the History Council of SA. Geoffrey's contribution to South Australian history in general and the local area in particular has been immense, making this award very well deserved. Congratulations Geoffrey.
