Thanks to the Shire of Northam’s Community Growth Grant, local ambulance crews are now equipped with Starlink units—making a real difference where it matters most.
In a recent remote truck rollover with no mobile coverage, paramedics and emergency responders stayed fully connected—coordinating efforts, sharing updates, and focusing on patient care without interruption.
💬 “This capability has made a significant difference,” said Paramedic Ian Dyer.
With continued rollout across the fleet, this technology is strengthening emergency response across rural WA and helping deliver better outcomes for our community. 👏

St John WA Northam and Kura the Bear 🐻 were delighted to visit Sparrow Early Learning Northam!
We had a wonderful time sharing an interactive session with the children, including a story about a boy who hurt his leg and needed an ambulance, learning the important emergency number to call in Australia, and practicing how to bandage an injury. It was fantastic to see the children so engaged and eager to learn through hands-on activities.
We are also very pleased to have been able to gift your service a copy of Land of Legends, encouraging little helpers with big hearts ❤️
