🦷 Dental Assistant & Receptionist
📍 Toodyay Dental Clinic | Permanent Part-Time

A welcoming dental practice in Toodyay is looking for a friendly Dental Assistant & Receptionist to join their team.
⏰ Hours: 20–37.5 hours per week
💰 Pay: $28–$30 per hour

About the role:
You’ll be working across reception and chairside duties, including:
• Answering phones and greeting patients
• Managing appointments using D4W software
• Processing payments
• Assisting with dental procedures
• Sterilisation and infection control

What we’re looking for:
• Dental experience preferred, but training provided for the right person
• Friendly, organised and reliable
• Comfortable working with patients and a small team
• Flexible availability, including some weekends
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for stable part-time work in a supportive, community-based practice.

We’re Hiring – Jobs & Skills Officer (Northam)

Full-time & part-time opportunities
SMYL Community Services is looking for friendly, community-minded people to join our Jobs & Skills Centre team in Northam.

If you enjoy helping others, building connections, and making a real impact in your community, this could be the role for you.

About the role
In this position, you’ll support locals to explore training options, build job-hunting skills and move toward employment or study.
Day-to-day includes:
- Providing individualized support to the community
- Assisting with resumes, job applications, and interview preparations
- Connecting individuals with training, apprenticeships, and local job opportunities
- Fostering relationships with schools, training providers, and employers
- Conducting career workshops and outreach throughout the region

About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- Communicates effectively and enjoys collaborating with others
- Is confident in supporting diverse community members
- Is organized and proficient with computers
- Possesses a positive, can-do attitude
Experience in employment services, community services, youth work or training is great but not essential. We value real-life experience just as much.

Requirements
- C-Class driver's license
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Willingness to complete a Cert IV in Career Development (SMYL will cover the cost)
