Good afternoon NWCG members,
It is with great sadness that I share these thoughts of our valued friend and member Mike Glenister.

You will recall at our NWCG meeting on June 5, how happy Mike was, because Ernie’s property had sold.

We missed Mike joining us at the Volunteer’s Morning Tea on June 12, and then within days he was admitted to the Epworth, as he said “ Melbourne Medical Motel, bored witless well into my first session of chemo” June 19.

Mike’s passing has come as a great shock to all, as he willingly gave his time to so many of our projects, as did Dianne.

Funeral arrangements are Mason Park, Mason St July 12 at 10.30am

The Wangaratta RSL Active Veterans and Families group enjoyed a great day of clay target shooting at the Wangaratta Clay Target range on Saturday 14th October.

The clay target club was pleased to provide a designated range, volunteer members to supervise and provide guns for the occasion.

All participants had the opportunity to try out their marksmanship skills and were very successful in their ability by hitting many of the targets thrown. Excellent to see some ladies and a junior shooter from this group have a go and show how they good their aim is.

The clay target club was very pleased to provide the venue for this groups activity program and are confident that a return visit will be scheduled some time next year.
