We will be holding a Volunteer induction and training day on Thursday 9th April commencing at 10 a.m., which will include all aspects of horsemanship and horse welfare. Topics covered will include horse handling, leading, feeding and volunteer assistance for participants, Morning tea will be provided and at the end of the session a short induction video will be available to watch.

We hope you have all had a lovely break and are looking forward to coming back to Tamworth RDA Centre for 2026. The horses returned to the Centre last Wednesday. They have all had a bath, are looking great and are excited to see you all again on Thursday.

PLEASE NOTE * though we appreciate our community so so much we do ask for you to not enter the grounds for any purpose, especially when there are horses in paddocks, we understand that you would like to say hello but please remember they are still horses and they do not know you so there is the potential for them to not have a good reaction to you coming up to them, especially during their well deserved break.

Dear community it is with much love and adoration to our Tamworth RDA volunteers and horses we farewell another year celebrating Christmas with our wonderful participants and their carers.

With Thursday the 4th Dec being our last for the year, a Christmas bang once again happened at the lodge. From tinsel to Christmas cupcakes to Santa letters to gifts given and received it was a magical day for all participants and volunteers alike.

From the bottom of our hearts we would like to thank all our participants who joined us through the year, Hillvue Public School, our Independent riders and all our lovely participants who traveled every week from Quirindi.
Making this year possible are our incredible volunteers who diligently dedicate their time and energy to continuously making sure that the RDA grounds are in shape, providing and preparing our morning tea and lunch and that our beautiful horses are healthy and happy so that we are able to serve the community to the best of all our abilities.

We would love nothing more than to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year and that we are beyond excited to see you all in the new year.

Serving our community would be impossible here at Tamworth RDA without our incredible horses, so with that we wish them the biggest HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY EVER for the horses birthday today🐴🎉🥳🎊

All our horses are incredibly special and we have loved and will continue to love every single one of them for many years to come and we thank you, our community for loving them alongside us.

Hello Community,

We have had the most blesseded year with the group of amazing participants and carers that attends Tamworth RDA.

We celebrated our last RDA of the year a few weeks ago with a Christmas bang yet again!With so much joy and celebration going around it was so memorable and we can’t thank all who came enough, volunteers helped our lovely horses get dressed up to go on enjoying the Christmas season.
