Spring time!!! A time when there are lots of flowers in bloom.
Have you noticed all the flowers that are in bloom at the moment?
Go for a walk and look at the flowers.
Smell the flowers. Do you like the smell?
Look at the different parts of the flower. Can you see the petals, the leaves, the stem?
Get closer to flowers. If you look carefully you might see bugs crawling along them. Can you see any?

MyTime is a local program that connects you with families who know what supports are around your area.

It is somewhere to go every week just for you (and your child as we have a supported playgroup as well). Join us at Kellyville on Tuesday and St Ives on Monday.

National Carers Week is a chance to recognise the significant contribution carers make every day, and carry that recognition forward through support year-round. At MyTime, we acknowledge the care, time and commitment carers give, and the importance of feeling supported themselves.

Across Australia, carers support the people they care for, often while managing pressures on their own health, wellbeing and finances. Small gestures can help carers feel seen and supported:

– Write a card or send a message acknowledging what they do.
– Make time to listen and ask how they’re going.
– Drop off some groceries or a home-cooked meal.
– Enjoy a coffee or a walk together.

For carers of children with disability, developmental delay or chronic health conditions, connecting with people who understand can make a meaningful difference. Evidence tells us that peer support, like what MyTime offers, can strengthen parents’ confidence and wellbeing, with potential benefits for their children and family life.

Toilet training is a topic many families need advice about when their child has a developmental delay or disability.

This is why EarlyEd started running a group parent training occupational therapy program over 10 years ago based on the original Are you Ready? toilet training program.

Running this program as a group program with other parents made a significant difference to the readiness for toileting of each child involved.

There’s nothing like a group program for supporting parents while they learn ways to help their child.

How can reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar help support your child’s learning?
Relatable easy to follow storyline – allowing children to follow sequence of events and predicting what might happen next.
Build’s vocabulary through hearing new words, descriptive words, concepts.
Children can get an understanding on nature and science through the butterfly lifecycle.
Encourages early maths skills by counting the food, comparing quantities and understanding number order as the caterpillar eats more food each day.

It’s Australian Wildlife week this week and to celebrate we are reading:
Wombat Stew Marcia K Vaughan and Pamela Lofts

On the banks of a Billabong, a hungry dingo catches a wombat and decides to make some gooey brewy, yummy, chewy wombat stew. The other bush animals come together and create a clever plan to save the wombat by tricking the dingo. Will their plan work or will the wombat end up as stew? Join us in this beloved Australian picture book classic to find out.

Wombat Stew is a story filled with simple repetitive text that invites readers to join in. The rhythm of the text makes the story feel like a song, and the repeating chorus invites the reader to sing along. The illustrations are clear and match the text. The animals are easy to recognise, making it simpler for children to follow the story.

Find out about how Key Word Sign supports a child's speech and language development.

There is great evidence that it can support all children who are at risk of delays.

Calling all:
- families of children with a disability, babies, toddlers and preschooler
- teacher's
– for children of all ages
- support workers and any staff supporting people with a disability

to do this training.

The workshop involves 3 evening sessions for up to a total of 6.5 hours.

Complete the full course for a certificate.
