Yesterday, our residents and team gathered for a morning tea to farewell the wonderful Cater Care team and acknowledge their nine years of dedicated service to James Milson Village.

We sincerely thank Cater Care for the care, commitment and contribution they have made to our residents, families and wider community over the years.

It was a lovely opportunity to come together, share memories and say thank you.
We wish the Cater Care team all the very best for the future and thank them for being such an important part of the James Milson Village community.

A very special congratulations to Nitesh Lal, our 2026 Kim Pryde Scholarship recipient.

The Kim Pryde Scholarship supports our team members to continue learning, growing and building their careers in aged care.

With the support of the scholarship, Nitesh completed his final semester of the Diploma of Nursing at TAFE NSW Ultimo, achieving this important milestone in July 2026.

We are incredibly proud of Nitesh’s dedication, commitment and passion for caring for our residents at James Milson Village Woolwich.

Congratulations, Nitesh, we are excited to see where your nursing journey takes you!

Celebrating Aged Care Employee Day 2026

Today we celebrate the wonderful people who make James Milson Village feel like home. To our incredible JMV team, thank you for the kindness, patience and compassion you bring every day.

Whether you are caring for residents, sharing a conversation, preparing a meal, creating special moments or supporting our village behind the scenes, your contribution makes a real difference.

Aged care is about people, connection and the little moments that matter most. We are so grateful for the heart you bring to everything you do.

Christmas in July is all wrapped up at James Milson Village!

We had a wonderful week filled with festive cheer and plenty of Christmas spirit.
The celebrations kicked off with Christmas Bingo, followed by our Christmas-themed Happy Hour concerts, complete with delicious smoked salmon canapés, Christmas shortbread, plenty of singing, and of course, a little dancing!

It was wonderful to see everyone enjoy good food, great company and the simple joy of celebrating together.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make our Christmas in July celebrations so special.

Yesterday, James Milson Village celebrated Bastille Day with a wonderful French morning Opera, featuring a very special guest appearance from Marie Antoinette.

The celebrations continued into the afternoon with our very own Le Crêperie, where the delicious aroma of buttery crêpes filled the air. More than 50 crêpes were freshly made with lemon and sugar, while residents enjoyed the sounds of Les Misérables and, of course, a little champagne to complete the experience!🥂

A special mention goes to Keith, pictured here, who arrived wearing his beret purchased during a memorable trip to Paris, the perfect finishing touch for our French celebration!

It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, music, connection and a touch of French flair. Merci to everyone who helped make our Bastille Day celebration so magnifique!

There was plenty of laughter, connection and community spirit at our recent Togetherness BBQ at James Milson Village.

Residents from RAC and ILU came together with staff for a wonderful afternoon filled with great food, conversation and entertainment. The event also uncovered some hidden talent, with a few staff members taking to the microphone for some memorable karaoke performances.

Moments like these are what make the James Milson Village community so special.

James Milson Village is proud to launch our new Reward and Recognition Program, celebrating the incredible people who bring our HEART values to life every day across our community.

This program includes our HEART Awards and Service Awards, formally recognising the dedication, professionalism and long-term commitment of our team.

Han Bu, General Manager North Sydney, alongside James Milson Village CEO Brad Williams, recently had the pleasure of presenting Service Awards to Reshma Rai and Rojina Adhikari (5 years), and Sadichchha Shrestha (10 years), in recognition of their ongoing dedication to our residents and team.

We also proudly celebrate our HEART Award recipients: Brinda Khand Thakuri, Goma Pokhrel, Han Bu, Melinda Junge and Sabitri Kumari Shrestha, recognised for consistently demonstrating our HEART values and the positive difference they make every day. You not only live our values, you encourage others to do the same.

Thank you to all our award recipients for the care, kindness, professionalism and positivity you bring to our community each day. We are incredibly grateful to have you as part of the James Milson Village family.

Happy ladies' day on Sunday.

We celebrated and honoured the wonderful ladies of James Milson Village all week starting with a Mother’s‑themed trivia challenge, followed by Ladies’ Bingo, BBQ lunch, a beautifully hosted afternoon tea, and relaxing pamper sessions. We wrapped up the week with a lively Friday happy hour, complete with hot food, drinks, and entertainment from Rod on keyboards. It was a week filled with reminiscence and appreciation for the incredible women in our community.

On Tuesday we were delighted to welcome Felicity Wilson to James Milson Village for a very special visit.

Felicity formally presented our new flags, marking an important moment for our community. During her time with residents and staff, we had the opportunity to share meaningful conversations about aged care, daily life within the Village, and the importance of flag etiquette and handover protocols.

It was a warm and engaging visit, and our residents thoroughly enjoyed the chance to connect and be part of the occasion.
