FREE community meetup group to explore the infinite possibilities of Artificial Intelligence for Business, Community, Environmental Conservation, Personal Use etc. Hi, I'm Luke Hayes, I live in Amity and am a Grandson of Connie Millar, a long time Straddy Resident. I've been following the development of artificial intelligence for almost 10 years now, but in August 2024 the Straddie Chamber of Com

merce, Aus Industry and Queensland A.i. So many people were overcoming their fear of A.i. getting inspired by the possibilities of current A.i. models for business, personal life, community services and environmental conservation that I suggested we start an A.i. This is the first step in that direction. This will be a free club meetup, maybe monthly and then more often in school holidays. I'll set up my outdoor cinema on the bowls green and kids can watch a movie or 2 while we share our experiences with A.i. Further than that, I also offer I.T. and A.i. consulting at $80/hour. you can email me at [email protected]

“Local First” Computer Software Architecture is an emerging field that is going to change everything, especially for disaster preparedness, management, resilient recovery and data ownership. CRDT’s Conflict-Free Replicated Data Types is a new mathematical process for merging document or data changes that happen offline by numerous people, into a shared database after network reconnection occurs, but in a way that prevents conflicts in the database when all the offline changes merge at different times.

Most modern software assumes your data lives in the cloud. As long as you’re online, everything works. When you’re not, it often doesn’t.Local-First software...

When we had Tropical Cyclone Alfred almost a year ago, most of the island was without power for at least 6-7 days. Cell towers were offline for days, and only a couple of community members had starlink they could share. Fires are another hazard on the island, and so are Solar Flares. If we want a resilient island we need a decentralised back-up internet with its own power. If we get smart about the design they can be in use every day for community cooperation, transport and tourism information, cultural exchange translations, entertainment, education and even an AI enabled voice & text system guide with a digital twin of the island, designed in a high resolution computer game simulation engine. If you’d like to support the prototype development process then please express your interest. It will take multiple skill sets and a creative problem solving mindset. Here are some AI podcasts that I got Google’s NotebookLM to do about plans I created for a Quandamooka Film Festival. I even built a website without actually following up on the plans. The podcast is called “IRRELEVANT” because there’s heaps of errors and exaggeration but also a lot of interesting content, ideas and processes. You just have to be prepared to sort fact from fiction. There’s actually 10 mini-podcasts about the same content, viewed differently by the 2 AI podcasters in the nearly 3-hours of content.
