🕯️ Memorial Day Remembrance 🕯️

Today, we gathered together to honour and remember the residents who have passed away in 2025 and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

As we lit candles in their memory, we reflected on the friendships, laughter, stories, and treasured moments they shared with our community. Each flame symbolised a life remembered, a legacy cherished, and the lasting impact they have left on those who knew and loved them.

We extend our heartfelt thoughts to their families and friends as we celebrate the lives of those we have lost. Though they may no longer be with us, their memories continue to shine brightly within our home.

There’s something truly special about the comfort and joy that animals bring. Our residents recently enjoyed a wonderful pet therapy visit, filled with cuddles, pats, laughter, and plenty of happy memories.

🎶🤠 Country Music Fun at Our Home! 🤠🎶

Our residents were treated to a wonderful afternoon of entertainment as we welcomed a talented country and western singer to perform some classic favourites.

There was plenty of toe-tapping, singing along, smiling faces, and cherished memories as familiar tunes filled the room. Music has a special way of bringing people together, sparking conversations, and creating moments of joy.

A big thank you to Graeme Hugo for sharing his talent and helping make the day so enjoyable for everyone. We look forward to having him visit again soon!

Our residents have been enjoying some relaxing and rewarding time working together on jigsaw puzzles. From finding those tricky corner pieces to celebrating the final piece being placed, puzzles provide a wonderful opportunity for social connection, teamwork, concentration, and plenty of conversation.

It’s always lovely to see residents sharing stories, helping one another, and taking pride in completing a beautiful picture together.

Freshly Baked Memories 🧁❤️

The aroma of freshly baked scones filled the home today as our residents enjoyed a wonderful baking session together. From measuring ingredients and mixing the dough to sharing stories and laughter, everyone had a fantastic time creating these delicious treats.

Baking activities provide opportunities to reminisce, engage the senses, and enjoy meaningful social connections. Best of all, everyone was rewarded with warm, homemade scones to enjoy with a cup of tea.

A lovely morning filled with smiles, conversation, and the simple pleasure of home baking. ☕🍓💛

🎉 Bingo Fun in the Memory Support Unit! 🎉

There was plenty of laughter in our Memory Support Unit today as residents enjoyed a friendly game of bingo. With eyes on the pictures and smiles all around, everyone joined in the fun, cheering each other on and celebrating every win.

Activities like bingo provide opportunities for social connection, engagement, and enjoyment, while helping to stimulate memory and concentration in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Our Men’s Group enjoyed a wonderful afternoon out at the local pub for lunch, sharing plenty of laughs, great conversations, and delicious meals together. 🍻🍽️

These outings are a fantastic opportunity for residents to socialise, reminisce, and enjoy time in the community while creating new memories and friendships.

A lovely day was had by all, and we are already looking forward to the next outing! 😊
