Today is IDAHOBIT, and VicSRC reaffirms our commitment in ensuring school is safe and accessible for everyone 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Did you know, according to our LGBTIQA+ Student Enpowerment Report, that there are easy ways for teachers to show their support for LGBTIQA+ students?

Things like pride pins, bringing community groups to students, and correcting incorrect pronoun usage are some of the ways students feel better supported at school.

We urge every member of VicSRC’s community to continue to support our LGBTIQA+ students 🫶🏻

Not to brag but VicSRC had our AGM last week, and it was a blast 💥

The VicSRC 2025 AGM was entirely student-led and an opportunity for our VicSRC members to hear straight from our CEO, our Executive Committee, and our board on the amazing things we got up to in the past year 🙂‍↕️

It was also lovely to have Parliamentary Secretary present, as well as staff from the Victorian Department of Education and 🤸

It was so lovely to see parents and students come and say hi to our staff and Executive Committee as well 🤗

📣 This week, the Victorian Government announced that schools logos will be banned from shorts, pants, skirts and socks, starting next year.

The decision will help to make school uniforms cheaper, which is great news.
