🎭 ALWAYS WANTED TO TRY ACTING?

Now's your chance.

Our beginner-friendly Introduction to Acting course starts Thursday, 25 June in North Melbourne, and there are still a few places available.

Over 5 weeks, experienced director and teacher Richard Sarell will introduce you to simple techniques used by actors to connect with audiences, build confidence, and perform naturally on stage or screen.

Whether you're curious about acting, looking for a creative outlet, or considering performing more seriously, this course is designed for complete beginners.

🌏 How is Artificial Intelligence changing our communities, workplaces, and everyday lives?

Join us for Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, a course designed for anyone who wants to better understand the technology shaping the world around us.

We’ll explore:
🤖 How AI is used in social media, search engines, photos, and email
📰 Ways to recognise AI-generated content online
💬 The social and ethical questions AI raises for our communities
📚 Perspectives on AI from science fiction, philosophy, and current events

Led by Anastasia Beasley, this course encourages conversation, shared learning, and thoughtful discussion in a supportive community environment. No technical background needed.

As part of Neighbourhood House Week, we’re offering a range of free activities across the week, including some of our regular programs. It’s a great opportunity to try something new at no cost.
We’re also excited to run a new Introduction to Acting workshop during the week.
From social gatherings and creative workshops to language classes, games, and Learn Local courses, there’s something for everyone.
It’s a lovely way to connect with others, learn new skills, and be part of your community.
