Our monthly DESIGN CLUB online meeting is on tonight at 7pm.

Every third Monday of the month, we catch up with a few members who wish to participate, to talk about their current project, idea or go over a model or prototype. As a small group, we offer feedback on what we think works well and what we would suggest as an improvement.

This is a good time to practice your presentation skills but can also be helpful to move from a concept to reality, having gathered some ideas and knowledge from other makers.

Find out more in our link in bio. If you haven’t joined already, you can register online and we’ll email you a link.

Hope to see you there 💻🖥️!

We're still coming down from the high of Melbourne Design Week. If you weren't able to join us on the night, we created the perfect atmosphere for a very special event, turning down the lights and letting our Artists in Residence's pieces do the talking.

Well done again .gillespie .xyz

A few snapshots from our Open Studio exhibition during the last Melbourne Design Week weekend.

Congratulations to our artists in residence, Wanda, Freddy, Emily, Caleb and Margot, on putting together such a thoughtful and inspiring show. It was wonderful to witness the breadth of talent housed within our walls.

We also loved seeing the workshop in a completely different light. Anyone who has visited our premises would appreciate the remarkable transformation that took place here! We pride ourselves on keeping a very tidy workshop, but seeing it transformed in this way still felt truly phenomenal.

At the VWA, one of our aims is to support, celebrate and create opportunities for makers while fostering a strong and connected woodworking community. Events like this remind us just how much creativity, skill and generosity exist within that community.

Well done to everyone involved in making this happen. We are incredibly proud.

Feel free to support our artists by given them a follow: xyz
