We're incredibly grateful to Freemasons Foundation Victoria for their generous funding which has supported the purchase of a new, upgraded ultrasound machine for our Australian Prostate Centre.
Many men living with prostate cancer can experience incontinence following surgery or treatment. To support rehabilitation, it's important to strengthen pelvic floor muscles.
The new ultrasound, used by our team of pelvic floor physiotherapists at the clinic, helps give patients real-time visual feedback to better understand how their pelvic floor muscles are working and learn correct techniques more quickly.
With upgraded technology that features enhanced image quality and greater accuracy, the ultrasound allows our team of clinicians to tailor rehabilitation programs to support better continence outcomes for men living with prostate cancer.
We’re deeply thankful to Freemasons Foundation Victoria for investing in equipment that directly improves care, dignity and quality of life for men.
