Uniting Krithians Around the World
Gallipoli - Thessaloniki - Australia Welcome to our official page Krithia Association of Australia. It is a great honour and privilege for the Executive Committee to be able to serve the "Krithiotes". We want to give our members, friends and wider community an avenue of communicating, of being informed, of sustaining cultural and historical traditions as well as the language of our birth land of Krithia. Association Mission:
1. To unite all descendants of Krithia-Gallipoli around the world;
2. To promote and preserve the Gallipoli Hellenic origin of its people being direct descendants of Krithia-Gallipoli;
3. To promote, share and collaborate on valuable historical texts published about palia (old) Krithia in Gallipoli, nea (new) Krithia in Thessaloniki, and all “Krithiotes” all around the world. This will strengthen the historical, educational and cultural ties;
4. Collating documentary evidence of their connection to Gallipoli and World War I in preserving, promoting, and defending our Hellenic heritage. The preservation and sharing of information and stories is an important aspect of our Greek culture and we want to ensure that knowledge is continually passed on. Keep the culture alive with a vision of Krithia future. The legacy we want to leave for our peers, our children is the history of our ancestors and recognition that we are the original descendants of Krithia, Gallipoli. Association Vision:
The Krithia Association of Australia aspires to continue being a leader in preserving and promoting our Gallipoli Hellenic heritage. We represent a thriving, dynamic community of executive committee members, community members, and historians, who communicate our history in diverse ways serving to discover, document, share, collaborate and preserve our history.
