The Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6.30pm in Mackay Northern Beaches Bowls Club.

The Rotary Club of Mackay North is establishing a new Rotary Club in the Northern Beaches. Until it reaches the required membership, it will be a "satellite club".

Members and volunteers collected 48 kg of rubbish from Eimeo Road area between Carl St and Black's Beach roundabout yesterday. The road looks great and the rubbish won't be polluting our waterways. thanks Team

A.B. Paterson, Australia’s famous poet, author & Boer War correspondent, gave lectures on that war through Australia & NZ, including Mackay on 26th February 1901. On the 125th anniversary GREGORY NORTH presents a new version of his Winton show ‘Life & Rhymes of Banjo Paterson’ - featuring facts & Paterson’s poetry. This is a must for every fan, or history buff.

Images from our recent successful ‘Lift the Lid on Mental Illness’ Dinner at Club Northern Beaches. Members, partners and guests from 5 Mackay area Rotary Clubs wore spectacular hats and joined in the fun. Our speaker was Ricky Davids, Youth and Community Case Worker from Headspace, with an engaging talk on men and youth needing to “open-up” about their stresses. Proceeds go to Australian Rotary Health research on childhood mental health.

Members and volunteers collected over 80 kg of rubbish from Eimeo Road roadsides between Black's Beach Roundabout and Carl Ct on Sunday morning, 31st August. This included large amounts of take-away food packaging, styrofoam and plastic that won't get into our waterways, affect wildlife and our environment. Special thanks to the volunteers from Mackay Northern Beaches SHS. Our club has adopted this section of road under the Keep Queensland Beautiful program. We urge other groups to consider adopting a 2 km section of road and keep our town beautiful.
