What an incredible start to the 55th ICPA Queensland State Conference in Atherton!

The Wi******er Foundation has been a long-time supporter of ICPA and continues to make a meaningful difference through scholarships and advocacy for rural education.

It’s been wonderful to connect with families, educators, sponsors and advocates from across Qld, all united by a shared goal of creating better educational opportunities for children living in rural and remote communities.

We love reconnecting with familiar faces during our rural tours. Today, Mr Wheaton caught up with Old Scholar Brendan Brieffies (Class of 2009) at the Clermont Show.

A former Whitsunday boarding student, Brendan has made outstanding contributions to his local community over the past decade in the Isaac region, running his own veterinary practice, serving as President of the Australian Cattle Veterinarians (ACV), and as Joint Vice-President of the Clermont Show Committee, an event we always enjoy attending each year.

The best news of all is that Brendan is now a proud dad to three-week-old George!

We look forward to seeing you at the show again next year, Brendan.

This recognition reflects the vision, generosity, and enduring community spirit of the late Beryl Neilsen OAM, whose legacy continues to create meaningful impact across Queensland.

🌿 Opening of Beryl’s Memorial Garden 🌿
On Thursday 27th November 2025, a truly special gathering was held at Wi******er Downs as family and friends came together to honour and remember Beryl. It was a beautiful celebration of her life and the deep love she had for her family, for Wi******er Downs, and for her cherished Wi******er Foundation family.
Beryl’s Memorial Garden will forever be a place of connection, reflection, and peace — a lasting tribute to the kindness, strength, and generosity she shared so freely with everyone around her.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended, supported, and helped bring this memorial garden to life. Your presence and care meant so much and made the day incredibly special. 💚
