β€˜End of an Era’ is an informal musical evening to end our time in the Mandurah Senior Centre. We have rehearsed in this venue for nearly 30 years but now it is almost time for us to move to a new space.

The Mandurah Visionary Concert Band will present their pieces, with support from the Mandurah concert Band. We’d love you to come share this significant evening with us next week. Feel free to bring some friends to share this musical evening with.

Thank you Melville AFA Brass for supporting this year's States by keeping our tummies and souls warmed and filled πŸ˜‹πŸ₯°

We heard a lot of amazing playing this weekend, but we all know that our community wouldn't be the same without the folks who spend countless hours in the background, working tirelessly in administrative roles to keep our ensembles alive and well.

The Allan Conroy Award for the WA Bandsperson of the Year acknowledges these people and is a cherished award for WABA. It is named in honour of Allan Conroy, former president of WA Brass who was a stunning drummer, but an even better president who gave so much to the band.

We are so pleased to announce Michael Wolter from City of Perth Band is the recipient of the 2026 Allan Conroy WA Bandsperson of the Year award. His tireless dedication to the City of Perth Bands is inspiring - the concerts he has organised have been outstanding to see, and the growth of the band he has engineered is exceptional. Michael embodies the legacy of Allan, both people who have strived to make their band the best it can be.

Pictured here is Michael receiving his award from Allan's wife, Alison.

Please join us in a huge congratulations to Michael Wolter!
