We welcomed Hon Lucy Hood MP, Minister for Education, Training and Skills yesterday at our North Brighton site to launch the State Government’s Vocational Education and Training and Adult Community Education Educator Hub.

She joined our SA Learning Centre - RTO #4881 Cert II Horticulture students to plant a Banksia tree before officially launching the new online resource designed to support, strengthen and celebrate people working in the sector across SA.

SA Learning Centre educators Daniel Cassar and Chris Wood will feature as success stories in the hub, recognising their work in Universal Design for Learning and the inclusive support they provide to all students.

Lachy’s support worker drives him there in the car he shares with his 3 housemates. Without the proper funding and support from people like you, Lachy wouldn’t be able to get to work so easily or go out and do the things he likes to do.

Today marks the beginning of National Reconciliation Week.

It is a week to reflect on how we play our part in continuing to strengthen the relationship between the wider Australian community, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The theme for 2026 is All In – calling us all to commit and take action as we work towards a truly united community.

Without everyone working towards the same goal of reconciliation, it simply won’t happen.

Use this week to reflect on how you can take action and be All In to truly make a change.
