Whilst our beach is unpatrolled during the off-season and we do not recommend swimming, in the case of an emergency, please be reminded of the Public Rescue Equipment available on our beach and around our Club.
π¦ Shark Bite Kit (Lake St)
A Shark Bite Kit installed by Bite Aid β Community SBK, is located at the end of the sand walkway at Lake Street. It is mounted to the last timber fence post. It is a white, sealed, cylindrical container, clearly labelled Shark Bite Kit.
π§° Kit contains;
A tourniquet
Bandages
Dressings
Emergency blanket
Emergency whistle
Nitrile gloves
Parts bag
Incident management cards.
βοΈ This kit is only to be opened in the event of severe bleeding. It is not to be used for general first aid.
π Please remember - If you find someone in an emergent situation and you are in a condition to offer assistance, always assess the situation first, check for danger to yourself and any others, send for help - dial triple zero (000), call for help from people nearby, only enter the water with a flotation device, and never put your own life at risk.
