NOOSA VENTURE 2025
Information and Application Guide
Noosa Venture returns for 2025, with all your favourite activities. Running from Friday 28th to
Sunday 30th November 2025, it promises to be a great way to finish the year for Venturers and
Scouts ready to link.
LOCATION: ‘Badger’s Wood’ Scout Campsite, in the grounds of the Noosaville Sea Scout Group,
corner Eumundi Road and Gibson Road, Noosaville.
NOTE: Access to the Campsite can be difficult to find. From the Hilton Terrace / Eumundi Road
roundabout, as you approach the Eumundi Road exit from the roundabout, turn hard left into the
service road which parallels Hilton Terrace. The entry to the campsite is at the far end of the service
road; please follow the directions of the marshals. There is limited parking inside the campsite and
there are to be no vehicles in the campground due to the number of attendees.
Registration is now open. Activities will be allocated on a first received basis, as numbers on some
activities will be restricted get your application in early to avoid missing out. All registrations will be
done individually through Scouts Qlds AMS. A week or two before we will advise Units of who has
applied and the activities that have been allocated. Updates to those attending and the activities
they want to do (based on what friends are doing) will be accepted up to the closing date. Payment
through AMS is to be made at the time of your application. Refunds can be provided if you need to
pull out of the activity, if this happens please advise [email protected]
asap with your account details to organise payment.
Please note that changing of activities on the weekend will depend on how busy the admin team is
and how generous they are feeling. If you are doing a pre-paid event like the Aqua Fun Park you
will need to find a replacement person for the activity unless you are injured or unwell enough to do
that activity. So please choose your activities carefully, particularly the Sunday morning activity.
To register please go to Qld Scouts - OnLine Applications System (scoutsqld.com.au). Once you
have logged in select Noosa Venture 2025 and enter the required information.
COST: $90.00 per Venturer ($30.00 per Leader or Rover), plus money for any offsite spending.
Individual Units are to decide on any additional costs for the weekend. This fee covers camping and
the cost of all activities. If you have the BBQ on Saturday night there is an extra charge for that of
$6. Now that we are using AMS all payments are individual and at time of registration. Refunds are
available to anyone who is unable to attend. Email us if this happens.
TRANSPORT: Make your own way to and from the campsite.
NOTE: Venturers may - with written parental approval - drive vehicles to/from the Venture.
Venturers will only be permitted to drive vehicles during the Venture in exceptional or emergency
circumstances. Written parental approval is required for any Venturer travelling to/from the
Venture as a passenger in a vehicle driven by a Venturer and it is the responsibility of the
home groups to ensure this is done. These written approvals are to be handed to the driver's
nominated Adult Leader before the vehicle leaves for the Venture.
Medical: If you have specific medical needs, including medical action plans, please ensure you
supply as much information and attach plans to your registration so that we can have them on hand
in case there is an incident on an activity.
Campsite: Units can move into the campsite from 12pm on Friday. Units arriving early are to set up
towards the back of the chosen camping area to leave room for later arrivals. No Vehicles to
remain in the campsite due to the large number of campers. Refrigeration/Freezer is your own
responsibility, no on-site facilities available. It is possible that the existing main toilet and shower
block will still be undergoing renovations when camp is on. If this is the case there is a plan for
portable toilets and showers to be available on site, however this will have some impact on the
available camping space and will likely make showering a longer process.
Venturers must be accompanied by a nominated Leader or responsible adult. If your Unit Leader
is not attending Noosa Venture, arrange another adult, with a Scout registered blue card, to
accompany you or pre-arrange with a Leader attending the Venture to accompany their Unit before
you apply. Please note that the organising committee does not have the capacity to provide
supervision for Units without leaders. Lists will be provided to Unit Leaders so they can see who has
applied from their Unit as well as others who have nominated them as their leader.
Rubbish: Rubbish bags will be provided to units on the weekend, however a camp this size
generates more rubbish than the site can cater for with the bins they have. The camp site and
organizers would appreciate it if you can take an amount of your rubbish home at the end of the
weekend.
Final Parade will be at 1pm, after this Units may leave when ready and all clean up jobs are
complete. Units needing to leave earlier than this must include details on their Leader application.
Sat Night Dinner: A BBQ and salad will be available for the extra cost of $6 for anyone that is
interested, please select this on the application form. Otherwise Units are welcome to travel off-site
to eat (with their leader/responsible adult) or to cook on site using their own gear or the facilities on
site. All attendees will however have a drink included in their fee which they can claim at any time
after Friday night, please nominate what you want to drink on your application.
Blue Cards: All Venturers aged 18 by November 30, 2025, all adults & all Rovers attending the
weekend are required to hold a current blue card which will be verified during the registration
process. Anyone without a current blue card will be unable to stay onsite or participate over the
weekend.
Leaders: Please collect and hold all C4 (permission forms) and submit a C5 through the usual
channels if needed, contact us if you need a template and we can email them to you. We are
planning to put them on the page. Please ensure you tick all the required adventurous
activities on the C4 for parental approval. Note that the C5 is more about notifying your Group
Leader, Noosa Venture submits an event C5 through the Brisbane North Regional Commissioner
for their approval, and this is then sent on to Branch. As such there is no need for your Unit to
supply a Risk Assessment for the activity unless you need something for your transport there and
back.
It is the Unit Leaders’ responsibility to ensure that all attendees are financial members and that
any Venturer that has turned 18 has obtained a blue card and registered it with Scouts Qld. Some of
the activities on the weekend are challenging and accidents do happen, therefore we want to
ensure all participants are covered by insurance. Registering through AMS will only allow active
members to sign up.
