A night at the theatre that helps your neighbours 🎭

A huge thank you to our friends at Zonta Club of Noosa, who are hosting a charity theatre evening with every dollar raised going to Making Lives Matter.

Join us for Agatha Christie’s Witness for the Prosecution at Noosa Arts Theatre, directed by Andrew Moon. A gripping courtroom drama, a light supper, a drink of your choice, and raffles with some great prizes.

Every ticket helps us keep supporting local people doing it tough, right here in Noosa.

A massive shout out to the crew from Noosa Toyota! 🙌

Noosa Toyota are big supporters of Making Lives Matter. Each year their team gives up a day to volunteer in the community, and this year Sonya, Kristy and Lachie chose to spend theirs with us, plus a special edition volunteer, Kristy’s daughter Sashi! ✨

They rolled up their sleeves alongside our amazing volunteers today, and we loved every minute of it.

🎉 A huge thank you to Noosa Council and Mayor Frank Wilkie, who visited us yesterday to celebrate a community grant supporting our new Community Connections Worker role at Making Lives Matter. Council has been a fabulous supporter of MLM, and we’re so grateful for their continued backing of our work in the community.

This funding means we can now take support directly to people in the hinterland and Noosa — outreach that reaches people where they are, especially those who might otherwise struggle to access help, connecting them with the financial assistance they need.

And with that, we’re thrilled to officially welcome Danielle to the MLM family as our Community Connections Worker! You’ll find her at Pomona Community Centre every Friday, with more outreach locations coming soon — there to support our community members doing it tough, and connect them with the financial assistance and help they need.

Thank you so much, Noosa Council and Mayor Frank Wilkie, for backing local, practical support that makes a real difference. 💚

This money didn’t just appear — it came from the hard work and dedication of Zonta Club Noosa members who fundraise tirelessly for women. That effort means everything to us.

One of the most incredible things that happens at Making Lives Matter is all the things that happen because of our volunteers. I always try to put into words who they are and how remarkable I find them — and I struggle every single time.

They show me every day the best part of humanity. They show me that community helping community — that’s where the magic is

We were thrilled to receive a $1,000 grant to put towards petrol vouchers for our volunteers — because with the rising cost of fuel, it’s one small way to say thank you for what is so often an invisible job. Sandy Bolton, Member for Noosa, we cannot thank you enough for seeing that.

💚 Four Years of Making Lives Matter 💚

Four years ago, Making Lives Matter opened its doors with a simple idea — that a community could come together to support its own.

What followed was years of hard work, determination, long days, difficult decisions, unwavering belief and an incredible amount of heart. The vision of our founders became something real, creating a place where generosity, dignity and kindness could thrive.

Over the years, hundreds of volunteers, donors, customers, supporters and community members have helped shape the organisation into what it is today. Every donation received, every shift volunteered, every item purchased and every act of kindness has played a part in the journey.

Today, Making Lives Matter is a thriving local charity, continuing the work it was created to do — supporting people in our community when they need it most.

As we celebrate four years, we acknowledge the founders who worked tirelessly to bring the vision to life, the volunteers who have given so much of themselves along the way, and the community whose support continues to make it all possible.

Thank you for being part of the story.
