Love sewing, quilting or crafting? Come along and enjoy a friendly, relaxed day with like-minded people. Cant make Tuesdays?

All skill levels are welcome, bring your sewing machine, your latest project, or simply your enthusiasm! Ladies Sewing Circle is held every Tuesday at the Bribie Island Community Arts Centre, from 9:00am to3:00pm. You’re very welcome to attend for the whole day or just part of it—whatever suits you best! We also have a project group that meets on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month same time and location. Bring along your own sewing project, whether it’s sewing, embroidery, smocking, knitting, crochet, patchwork, quilting, or any other needlecraft. The group is suitable for beginners through to experienced makers, and there are always friendly members happy to help and support you on your sewing journey. A variety of workshops are organised throughout the year. Please remember to bring your morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. If you have any questions, feel free to send us a message. We hope to see you soon

The Beautiful Art of Smocking & Embroidery

There’s something truly special about the delicate detail and timeless beauty of smocking and embroidery.

From intricate stitches to beautifully gathered fabric, these traditional techniques create something that is both practical and a little bit magical.

A wonderful reminder that sometimes the smallest stitches can make the biggest impression! 🌸

✨ A Sneak Peek at Next Year’s Challenge! ✨

Here’s a little glimpse of what we’ve been working on behind the scenes!

Next year’s challenge will involve making lots of 6½” blocks, with each block teaching us a new and exciting technique. There’ll be a wonderful mix of patchwork, appliqué and embroidery.

What will we eventually make with all these blocks? Maybe a bag, placemats, cushions… or even a quilt!

So many possibilities, and lots to look forward to!

Here’s your sneak peek… 👀

What a wonderful day celebrating our annual Friendship Day in Caloundra! 💕🧵

Each year, three sewing groups come together to enjoy friendship, creativity, and plenty of laughs.

This year's activity was making these adorable little Christmas trees, followed by a delicious afternoon tea.

A big thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day so special. It's always a joy to catch up, share ideas, and celebrate the friendships we've built through our love of sewing and needlework.

Our Friendship Day brings together:

Ladies Sewing Circle,
Buderim Craft Cottage - Needlework Group and Caloundra Embroiderers Group

We're already looking forward to next year's get-together! ❤️

It was a delight to see the creativity, skill, and dedication reflected in every handmade project.

Sharing ideas, encouraging one another, and celebrating each other's achievements is what makes our sewing circle such a special group.

There was no shortage of creativity, laughter and inspiration at last week's Ladies Sewing Circle!

From beautiful handmade creations to clever new ideas, it was wonderful to see everyone's talents on display. Each project reflected the skill, patience and imagination that make our Sewing Circle such a special group to be part of.

More than just sewing, our weekly gatherings are about friendship, sharing ideas, learning from one another and enjoying each other's company. It's always amazing to see what can be created with a little fabric, plenty of creativity and a lot of heart.

Well done to everyone for another fantastic morning. We can't wait to see what this week's gathering brings!

What a fantastic turnout for the Ladies Sewing Circle's first meetup in our new home!

We couldn't be happier with our new venue. It has everything we could have hoped for, air conditioning to keep us comfortable, fabulous lighting that's perfect for sewing, oodles of storage space, a design wall, a dedicated pinning table, and a kitchen for those all important tea and coffee breaks!

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces enjoying the new space, sharing ideas, laughter, and plenty of stitching.
Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make our first gathering here such a success.

Here's to many more creative, fun filled sewing days together in our beautiful new venue!
