🎣 GOVE - LET’S GET BEHIND OUR LOCAL EVENTS!

And remember — family can be your Gove “chosen” family too!

The Delta Reef Family Comp is back for 2026, we would love to see a few more teams to get on board! 👀

As our town changes over the coming years, keeping local events like this viable is going to take all of us. These comps are about more than fishing - they’re about getting families, mates and our community together and giving everyone something to look forward to.

So grab your mates, get the kids involved and get a team together! 🎣

🏆 PRIZES FOR EVERY ANGLER

👨‍👩‍👧 Gove Family Teams: 2–4 adults
🎣 Traditional Family Teams: 2 adults + up to 4 juniors (14 & under)

The 2026 Winter Holiday Junior Fishing Competition kicks off tomorrow and we can’t wait to see what everyone catches over the school holidays!

🎣💃 2026 Ladies Fishing Classic Presentation Photos Are Finally Here! 💃🎣

Yes, we know… it’s been a hot minute. 😅

Between the preparation, set-up, unpacking, packing away, catching up on sleep, work and recovering from a serious case of post-Classic burnout, these photos have taken their sweet time making it to Facebook.

For those who may have forgotten (we certainly haven’t!), this year’s event threw us a curveball when a cyclone forced us to postpone. What was meant to be a Saturday night presentation became a Sunday session, but thanks to the incredible support of our community, we made it happen.

Looking back, we’re still amazed at how many people stepped up when we needed them most. From sponsors, volunteers, committee members, families and friends, to everyone who rolled with the last-minute changes, lent a hand, solved problems, moved things, set things up, packed things away, and kept smiling through the chaos—thank you. ❤️

A special shout-out to Goodline Australia for their support of the event and for helping us deliver another fantastic Ladies Fishing Classic. We truly appreciate being backed by businesses that support local community events and opportunities for women in fishing. 🎣💙

Events like this don’t happen without an army of people working behind the scenes, and we’re incredibly grateful to every single person who helped pull it off. It was stressful, exhausting, and at times a little bit crazy… but absolutely worth it.

🏆 Congratulations again to all our winners and participants, and thank you to everyone who made the 2026 Ladies Fishing Classic another event to remember.
