🎭 MEET THE CAST – SHARON CROOT 🎭

Meet Sharon Croot, who plays Lady Bertha, lady of the house and wife of Sir Redvers in Dame Agatha’s Greatest Case. Sharon especially loves acting opposite her real-life husband, Kim — “art imitating life!” 😂❤️
A Piggery Lane Player since 2016, Sharon has appeared in favourites including The Bench, The Wizard of Oz, Free For Hall, Sherlock Holmes and The Emperor’s New Clothes, as well as being a valued member of the committee.
Off stage, Sharon loves family and friends, gardening, creating metal garden art and her newest hobby — crochet! 🧶🌿 There’s usually music playing too, accompanied by plenty of singing and more than a few dance moves! 🎶💃
Sharon has loved working with director Jill and greatly appreciates the time, talent and enthusiasm she has brought to the production.

CAST PROFILE 🤩

MATILDA PRENZLER – Cora the Chamber Maid

This is Tilly’s fifth production with Piggery Lane, and one of her favourite roles yet. She is a Year 9 student at Nhill College who enjoys playing sport🏅, especially basketball 🏀, writing 📝and reading 📖. Tilly appreciates being a part of the cast and acting with those who have performed for many years, as well as welcoming new members.
Tilly says that playing this role is a lot of fun 🥸, but giggling on demand — and in perfect time with two other people — is harder than it sounds 😂! Having two great scene partners to bounce off makes the role feel natural and keeps us laughing.
Audiences will love Dame Agatha’s Greatest Case 🔍 because it gets you thinking, piecing together clues and trying to solve the mystery, all while enjoying plenty of laughs from an amazing cast.

CAST PROFILE 🤩

Karen Prenzler – Miss Sullivan

Karen has been involved with PLP for the last 7 years and just loves it! It’s like a second home and family. She has previously acted with the South Coast Choral Society and Noarlunga Theatre Group (SA). Karen particularly enjoys the camaraderie, the fun and the chance to play someone completely different (or not so different 😉) from herself.
Karen is a Primary School Teacher 👩‍🏫 who enjoys reading good books 📖, walking her dog 🐾, singing out loud 🎤, soaking up the sunshine 😎 and hanging with her family and friends 🥰.
Karen has found the biggest challenge of playing her role of Miss Sullivan (Dame Agatha’s assistant) is tackling those monologues while trying to speak without expression! Dame Agatha’s Greatest Case is full of laughs, clever little asides, local references, great banter and all the suspense of a classic whodunnit.
Best of all, it’s a privilege to share the stage with such wonderful local talent 🎭.

Who is responsible for the "slight mishap" at Brandling Hall? As rehearsals ramp up in Nhill for our upcoming Play Dame Agatha'a Greatest Case, it's time to meet our suspects:

Sir Redvers Brandling (Kim C): Our host, who seems a bit hard of hearing—or perhaps just conveniently distracted when money is mentioned! 🧐

Lady Bertha Brandling (Sharon C): The posh, ostentatious mistress of the house who rules the library with an iron hand and a dramatic string of pearls. 💎

Gilbert the Butler (Paul D): Impeccably disciplined, traditional, and speaks with a heavy, comedic alliteration. But does he hide a dark secret? 🚪

Elsie Nore (Karen S): Our highly talkative charlady who cannot stop misquoting Shakespeare—even when sweeping up clues! 🧹

Myrna Lerner (Lexi): A glamorous Hollywood starlet over from America who is quite fond of "gin and platonics" with the gentlemen. 🍸

Tarquin Pennington-Shaw (Simon): A slick pl***oy who is much more concerned with his social standing than the law. 🏎
..and that’s only half the house! With bumbling local constables, dramatic swoons, and a brilliant, cantankerous amateur detective on the loose, there's no telling who will walk away scot-free!

When a "jolly weekend" at a grand country estate ends in a strangulated cry it's up to the cantankerous Dame Agatha Crustie to outwit Scotland Yard and find the killer.
