Whilst it appears that not a lot is happening at the Noske Silos, you can rest assured that the dedicated group of volunteers is beavering away inside the structure.
The images show the work currently being undertaken in replacing the stumps, bearers and floorboards in what we call Fry Hall (the building that extends from the front of the Flour Mill).
The floor had sunk badly in this area due to the failure of the original stumps. You can see the damage in the photo showing one of the stumps that was removed.
Huge thanks to John Deckert, Craig Henley, Anthony Bone and others for their ongoing dedication.
Keep an eye out on the front of the property for an exciting new project soon to be commenced.

The LEDGER.......

The Silo Project was recently contacted by the owner of the Noske Mill in Murray Bridge asking if we were interested in some old documents relating to Noske Flour Mills. Of course we were!
Pictured is the original ledger from Noske Mill in Horsham. About 30 cm thick with solid timber bookends, the document is a couple of hundred pages thick and records every transaction made from 1907 until at least 1919.
Also recovered were hundreds of blueprints and plans from all of the Noske assets, but that's a story for another day!
