In a world where you can be anything, BE KIND. 🦋🩵

Today is Ahlias Kindness Day, created in honour of Ahlia Jane Williams. Today we are encouraging you to perform random acts of kindness and show compassion, thoughtfulness and consideration of others. Honour and remember Ahlia's legacy of caring for others and living as Ahlia did.

Ahlia was diagnosed with DIPG in June of 2020, and passed just 5 months later, on November 29, 2020.

Please join us in spreading kindness in honour of Ahlia. Let us know what kindness you have shared today, or what you have received.

Last month Jo headed down to Canberra for the Queanbeyan Whites Rugby Club’s Family and Community Day, this year supporting RUN DIPG.

We were grateful to share the day with local Canberra DIPG family, the Potts’. Jo got to chat with the lovely Will and Juliette Potts, younger siblings of Annabelle Potts.

Annabelle was 3 years old when she was diagnosed with DIPG in 2016. After a tough battle she devastatingly passed in January of 2019, aged 5.

Thank you to everyone who supported, donated and came down on the day and to for supporting RUN DIPG. 🤍🤍🤍

Love for Annabelle

After hearing the story of a childhood cancer survivor in year 5, Aaira made a promise that she would do something to help kids battling cancer. Since then, she has founded The Can Campaign, a program that turns everyday recycling into funding and awareness by collecting 10c containers and donating the proceeds from Return & Earn.

During December 2025 and last month, The Can Campaign donated all proceeds to RUN DIPG! Thank you and well done to Aaira for creating such an awesome intiative that supports recycling while fundraising for Childhood Cancer. It is a great reminder that all the little efforts add up, every 10c counts!

If your school, workplace, or family wants to run a Can Drive for a Cure, DM campaign on Instagram to get started.

A special thank you to Victoria Park Primary School for once again supporting Ahlia’s Kindness Day this year.

It is so lovely to have a wonderful school community in Perth taking part in the day, helping us spread kindness, spark meaningful conversations and raise awareness for DIPG.

Your continued support and enthusiasm truly help create a ripple effect of compassion throughout the community.

What a lovely day on the green we had at the inagural Hunter Rugby Charity Golf Day at Shortland Waters Golf Club on the 17th of May, DIPG Awareness Day. 🏌

Thank you to all our Hunter Rugby Clubs that came down, participated and donated on the day - you raised $6,700! Special thanks to our prize donors, Shortland Waters Golf Club and Matt Parkinson and the team at Hunter Rugby

We had some competitive spirits off the rugby field, but Newcastle Griffins Rugby Union Football Club came out on top. All in all it was a great day and thanks again to everyone who contributed.

We have a HUGE announcement! We are so excited to finally share that Dr Ryan Duchatel will receive $675,000 in Cancer Institute NSW funds for his research in targeting the genetic origins DIPG.

Dr Duchatel is a Postdoctural Fellow with the The University of Newcastle, Australia School of Biomedical Sciences and Pharmacy (Medical Biochemistry), part of the research team led by Professor Matt Dun.

Dr Duchatel's research is focussed on understanding the growth and evolution of tumours throughout a child’s development. This involves developing more sophisticated, child specific research models, rather than previously used adult ones, as well as new therapies.

Congratulations!!! 🎉
