Two years ago I rebuilt our website. It wasn't very good. 🥲
I know, because I built it...
We'd moved off our old platform for ethical reasons and I put the new one together myself, with the best of intentions and not quite enough skill. It worked. Sort of. 🥴 It didn't work properly on a phone, which is where most of you actually look at it. 📲
It would have been fixed sooner if I'd had the time and the know-how. I've spent a while getting both.
So: new website, new look. More teal, not less.
The old logo was a picture rather than something you could actually print. When we had the aprons made, someone had to rebuild the file by hand before the printer would take it. It couldn't go small, it couldn't go on anything dark, and it definitely didn't work on a sticker. Eight years and 3,600+ loans in, we needed one that works.
The new logo is three arches, each taller than the last. Our volunteers voted on it - it's theirs and it tells the story of The Share Shop. With a solid history behind us, we are growing. 🌱 Volunteers who opened the shed in 2018 are still on the roster, and there are more members every year.
We are meeting the momentum. 💪💚
