Port Stephens Longboarding Community Longboarders of all levels are welcome! We aim to tread lightly and foster respect for these special places that we are privileged to share and enjoy.

We are a welcoming and inclusive community of longboarders who regularly meet at Port Stephens’ beaches to share our beautiful waves, have some friendly competition and enjoy some laughs and camaraderie. PSLC acknowledge the Worimi people as the First Peoples of the beaches and waves on which we surf and recharge our souls, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

PSLC are stoked to announce the start of our new Junior Development Program this Sunday. The goals: to have fun, help kids progress their surfing, introduce them to the joys of longboarding and support them with LB technique tips.
We have a 9-step progression pathway (1 step per monthly meet). We'll spend half an hour at each meet focusing on our young members and building on the basics 🤙🏼

Fun and inspiring (free) movie night at Noah's on the Beach (Newcastle Beach) this Saturday Feb 28 from 6:30 pm, as part of the Mattara Longboard fest 🤙🏼
Ceibo: an inspring and breathtaking film by surfing icons Lucy Small (longboarder, activist, writer), Maddie Meddings (filmmaker) and Pacha Light (surfer and environmentalist) will take us on a journey across Ecuador to learn from women about how we can better coexist with our planet, while showcasing some of Ecuador's beautiful nature and culture amongst some magical surfing!

A beautiful day at Birubi yesterday for our first monthly meet of 2026, with some fun waves shared. For the first time, adults were outnumbered by juniors (although under-represented in the photo deck)! We were stoked to welcome three new families into the Community!
