We’re growing our capacity to serve our community!

We’re excited to share a fantastic new addition to Grainery Care – our new cool room! 🎉

It might look like just a big fridge, but to us, it represents something much bigger…

MORE FOOD. MORE FAMILIES. MORE HOPE. ❤️

🥕 More Fresh Food – Increased capacity to safely store fresh fruit, vegetables and other perishable food, helping us provide quality food to those who need it most.

🍎 Less Food Waste – Better storage means we can preserve donated food for longer, making the most of every generous contribution.

🤝 Greater Community Impact – With increased storage capacity, we can receive and manage larger food donations, helping us support more individuals and families experiencing hardship.

❤️ More Dignity and Choice – Because everyone deserves access to fresh, nutritious, quality food, regardless of their circumstances.

Every week, our Grainery Care Food Hub provides practical support to people doing it tough across our local community.

And as the need continues to grow, so does our commitment to making a difference.

This new cool room isn’t just about storing food. It’s about creating opportunities to extend kindness, restore dignity and share hope.

At Grainery Care, we believe everyone deserves dignity, kindness, hope and a helping hand.

Every day, people in our community are facing challenges that many of us may never see. Families struggling to put food on the table. Individuals experiencing loneliness and isolation. People navigating financial hardship, uncertainty and difficult seasons of life.

That’s why Grainery Care exists. ❤️

Through the generosity of our supporters, dedicated volunteers and community partners, we’re making a real difference in Mayfield, across Newcastle and beyond.

🥕 Our Food Hub – Providing fresh fruit, vegetables, groceries and essential food support to individuals and families doing it tough.

❤️ Our Health Hub – Helping people access practical health and wellbeing support with dignity and compassion.

☕ Café 252 – More than just great coffee! A welcoming place where friendships grow, conversations matter and people discover connection, belonging and second chances.

🤝 Community Connection & Support – Creating safe spaces where people are welcomed, valued, encouraged and reminded that they are not alone.

🌏 Reaching Beyond Our Walls – Extending compassion, practical assistance and hope to people whose circumstances leave them needing someone to care.

But we can’t do it alone. We need YOU!
