Port Stephens Turtle Patrol

Port Stephens Turtle Patrol We are getting together to protect the Port Stephens sea turtle. Support our organisation and help us refurbish our amazing new patrol vessel. Cheers

We are three good friends that love the ocean, nature and the Port Stephens area. Locals from Nelsons Bay and Newcastle and Environmentally minded young guys. We have spotted a major problem with the marine turtle population in the Port Stephens area. Due to marine turtles getting hit by boat propellers, or getting stuck in recreational crab traps. We are collecting funds to refurbish a 31 foot ti

mber sailing catamaran, a James Wharram Pahi 31 design. In memory and honour of the Polynesian cultures that roam this Pacific Ocean waters in the past, and in honour of the indigenous people that live in the area. This vessel will be used as research, rescue and patrol vessel and to conduct awareness presentations and tours to the visitors and schools of the area about the importance and the fragile lives of this beautiful little creatures. Six of the seven marine turtle species in the world are in danger of extinction. So if you want to support our cause or join us in the conservation of the port Stephens sea turtle. give us a call or donate something small to our organisation. Thank you so much.
