GP Access After Hours is trialling a new model of after-hours care at our Maitland clinic.
Our new Hybrid Clinic Pilot combines in-person nursing support with a GP consultation via secure video. Eligible patients attend the clinic, where a Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse is there to support their care, while the GP joins the consultation virtually.
The way you access GP Access After Hours hasn’t changed. Patients should call GP Access on (02) 4926 0500 first, where our team will assess your needs and help determine the most appropriate care for you. If a Hybrid Clinic appointment is suitable for your needs, our team will provide you with all the information you need prior to your appointment.
The three month pilot will explore how this model can safely support access to after-hours care while maintaining a positive patient experience.
The Hybrid Clinic operates alongside our existing GP Access After Hours services, with feedback from patients and staff helping us evaluate the model and inform future planning.

Our Headspace Newcastle team is supporting headspace to deliver a free online webinar for parents, carers and supporters of young people across the Hunter New England and Central Coast region who have experienced recent grief and loss.
