Pay It Forward
Heya my friends. I’ve been helping people that post on those ‘pay it forward’ pages. I’ve found time and time again that despite only asking for one thing that’s needed desperately, when I get there they are in need of so much more but are too embarrassed to ask or have just learnt to survive as is.
It has given me so much joy to make friends with these people that have just slipped through the cracks & disappeared from view. To build them a garden for fresh vegetables, repair furniture, change a lightbulb or make a sweet place in the sun for them to go outside, such tiny things, this unexpected intervention…I have seen, has altered lives. Do you know what it feels like to drive home when you’ve done that?!
If any of you ever thought ‘I’d like to do a random act of kindness’ contact me. You may not have the time to build a garden but maybe you’re great at hunting down resources on Marketplace. Or have a vehicle that can pick up items that I can’t (gosh so needed). Have a skill set like cooking, painting or building. Let me know if you’d be interested in working with me to build something special from the ground up.
This work truly makes me happy and it’s contagious.
