Linda has been granted a six-month membership at Stepz Gym in Muswellbrook, supporting her goal to get fit, healthy and active.

2026 Taree Tenant Forum!

What a wonderful turnout at our Taree Tenant Forum! It was great to see so many familiar faces turning up to learn and connect.

The trivia was a hit - with a few tricky questions about the local area.

Thank you as well to all the services involved, including U3A, Wesley Mission, The Salvation Army Australia, just to name a few ☺️

Congratulations to Janet from Beresfield for receiving a Tenant Incentive Scheme (TIS) award recognising her community contribution! Janet proudly maintains the communal garden at her complex.

Our local Community Participation Officer Kim met with Janet to present her with the award.

The Tenant Incentive Scheme recognises tenants who are excelling in five categories. Winners are announced on a quarterly basis and are presented with a certificate and $50 voucher.

Nominations for this award can come from Home in Place staff or from within the tenant group.

Home in Place congratulates former Group Managing Director Greg Budworth on being awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM).

Greg has made an extraordinary contribution to social and affordable housing over many years, beginning with Newmacq Community Housing (Now Home in Place) in 2004, and helping guide the organisation’s growth into a national and international community housing provider.

Speaking to the Port Stephens Examiner, Greg said: “I am very honoured to be receiving an OAM. There’s so many good people in our communities.”

His leadership, advocacy and commitment to housing as a fundamental human right have left a lasting impact on Home in Place, the wider housing sector and the communities we serve.

Congratulations Greg on this well-deserved recognition.
