For 13 years the Festival was run by a collective and in 2002 was Incorporated. Brisbane Pride is now Queensland’s largest and the country's third largest LGBTIQ+ major event, attracting more than 50,000 Festival-goers over a four week period. We are honoured to welcome Wanda Dparke to the 65th Annual Queens Ball as one of the featured Icons in our spectacular Drag Showcase, paying tribute to the legendary Dame Sybil.

With more than 30 years of entertaining audiences across Queensland and beyond, wanda has become one of the state's most beloved performers. From the iconic stages of Sporties to regional festivals, cruises and community events, her unique blend of live vocals, comedy and classic cabaret has earned her a place in Brisbane drag history.

Known for her warmth, quick wit and genuine connection with audiences, wanda represents everything that has made Queensland drag so special for generations.

A Brisbane favourite is returning to the Queens Ball stage!

We’re thrilled to welcome the fabulous KATYA LOUKING to the 65th Annual Queens Ball on Saturday 20th June at Brisbane City Hall.

A true staple of Brisbane’s drag scene, Katya has become one of the city’s most beloved entertainers, lighting up iconic venues like Sporties and stages across South East Queensland with her infectious energy, quick wit and unforgettable performances.

This year, Katya will feature as part of our powerful First Nations Showcase celebrating Blak excellence. She’ll also take to the stage in our special Drag Showcase honouring the legendary Sybil, performing alongside the incredible cast of Runway in what promises to be one of the most memorable moments of the evening.

A proud Wiradjuri Queen, Oxy-Kodeine has quickly become one of Australia's most exciting rising drag stars. From commanding stages across the country to earning the title of Miss First Nation – First Runner Up 2025, she continues to captivate audiences with her incredible performance ability, fierce presence and unwavering commitment to Blak excellence.

But Oxy's impact extends far beyond the stage. Passionate about creating opportunities and increasing visibility for First Nations q***r performers, she has become a powerful advocate for representation, community and the next generation of talent.
