Huge congratulations on being named a finalist. Our Club is proud to be part of Taylor’s village and just so inspired by her energy and enthusiasm.
✨ Big news! ✨
Taylor Randall has been named a finalist for the Volunteering Queensland Queensland Youth Volunteer of the Year Award for 2026, recognising her outstanding contribution to youth leadership and community service. The winner will be announced at the Volunteering Queensland awards ceremony on 15 May.
Taylor has built an extraordinary record of volunteering across local, national and international organisations since she was a primary school student, consistently working to create amazing local, national and international opportunities for young people in our community.
Taylor currently serves as the President of our Star Rotex Alumni Association, supporting returned, current and future Rotary Youth Exchange participants. Under her leadership the association was recently recognised globally as the Rotary International Alumni Association of the Year.
Taylor has also contributed to youth programs internationally serving as Co-Chair on the Rotary International Global Youth Advisory Council, helping to shape the future of Rotary’s youth engagement.
We are so lucky to have Taylor as part of our Rotary Youth Exchange team, but so many other organisations count themselves lucky to have Taylor on their volunteer team too – she is a volunteer powerhouse! In the past two years alone she has held volunteer roles with
• Rotary Youth Exchange in for Rotary District 9640 and Rotary Youth Exchange Australia
• National Youth Science Forum (NYSF)
• Nerang Girl Guides and Girl Guides Queensland
• Rotary Club Of Nerang
• Nerang Uniting Church
• Theirworld Global Youth Ambassador program
• Gaven Youth Advisory Council
• Youth development programs and community events including Rotary Youth Transition Seminar (RYTS), Red Frogs for Schoolies, Nerang Celebrates and more!
Across all these roles, Taylor’s focus and passion always remains the same - helping young people grow in confidence, leadership and global understanding.
Being named a Queensland Youth Volunteer of the Year finalist is a wonderful recognition of Taylor’s impact and role as a youth volunteer leader not only in our own local community but nationally and internationally, too.
Congratulations Taylor! We’ll all be cheering you on for 15 May.
