The National VIEW Powerpoint Presentation was the focus of the April meeting for the Nerang VIEW Club. Zone Councillor Dianne highlighted important information, issues and changes within the organisation. Dianne was also the lucky winner of the club raffle.
A two course lunch was enjoyed by all members, in particular Gwen and Val celebrating their birthdays, and Kathy and Alicia our new members.
Come and join us for good food, good conversation and good company.

The monthly club meeting for Nerang View swelled from 22 members to 92 members, when Gold Coast and Bribie Island View Clubs visited for an International Women's Day Event on Thursday 12 March.

ZC Dianne Stamp was unable to deliver the inspirational IWD address, so SNVC Annette Thiedeke stepped in on her behalf, after PNVC Marie Boxall opened the proceedings. This was followed by an amazing account of the life of a historian from Dr Michele Matthews.

After a delicious 2-course meal, PNVP Evelyn Berg shared some interesting stories in celebration of Lorraine Thomson, National President of VIEW 2026-2027. This led to a microphone being passed around to other members to share their personal “Lorraine anecdotes” too. Some secrets may have been revealed!

Throughout the day, lucky door winners at each table won a bottle of wine; raffle prizes (such as potted plant, produce baskets, handbag, art works) were won and delicious baked goods and homecrafts disappeared from the trading table.

Lots of laughter, conversation, good food and good company were again shared at the monthly meeting of the Nerang VIEW Club. Will we see you there in a month’s time?

After our AGM, we proceeded to the relaxing part of the agenda - lunch at the Nerang RSL. YUM! Then during dessert, the fun really began.

Angelina Briscoe, National Specialist Sales Manager from Wendy Wu Tours, joined us at our February meeting to share the joy of travelling to exotic destinations around the world. The presentation was very interesting and lots of fun with a raffle and quiz at the end for some wonderful prizes.

Wendy Wu Tours partnered with VEIW Clubs to sponsor our 2025 National Convention in Brisbane and is offering a great deal to all VIEW members. so, when you book your next holiday using the VIEW200 code, not only will you save $200 per person off your tour price, but Wendy Wu Tours will donate $100 per booking to The Smith Family. Wuhoo! 🥳

This would be a good time to become a VIEW member, instead of just a friend. What better reward for joining us than $200 off your next adventure while raising money for The Smith Family. Hope to see you soon! 🙂

Well done Ladies! 🥳

It’s grassroots advocacy at its best – thousands of women across Australia championing the power of community as they speak up for children’s education and wellbeing. ✨

We’re so fortunate to have the support of these 13,000 VIEW Club members. For more than six decades, this national group has stood alongside us – bringing people together, building connections, raising funds, and advocating to ensure young people growing up with disadvantage have every chance to make the most of their education.

VIEW members recently met to agree on their three advocacy priorities for the next two years. They are calling for:

📚 Support for children falling below national literacy and numeracy benchmarks.
🧠 Increased funding for mental health support in schools through dedicated, qualified professionals.
🤝 Creation of, and support for, programs that address loneliness and social isolation.

They’ve already locked in meetings with a number of government leaders. A huge thank you to every one of these women for their partnership and passion. This is how change gathers momentum, and we can’t wait to see what we achieve together this year.
