Nerang VIEW Club Nerang VIEW meets every second Thursday of the month at Nerang RSL. VIEW stands for the Voice, Interests and Education of Women.

Australian communities, VIEW empowers women to have their voices heard on issues of importance for the future wellbeing of Australian society. There are more than 300 VIEW Clubs around Australia open to women of all ages. VIEW offers a friendship network, providing fun and a sense of purpose for members through supporting the education of disadvantaged Australian children. As a valued part of The Smith Family, VIEW members help to change the lives of young Australians in need through fundraising, volunteering, advocating and sponsoring disadvantaged students on The Smith Family's Learning for Life program. Together VIEW Clubs sponsor more than 1,800 disadvantaged students through the Learning for Life program.

Charity is about more than giving. It's about creating opportunities, removing barriers and helping ensure more children have the support they need to participate in school and make the most of their education.

The August meeting marked the 38th birthday for the Nerang VIEW Club. 🥳

For 38 years, the Nerang VIEW Club have been raising awareness of women's issues and supporting the children’s charity, The Smith Family. VIEW Club members from Robina, Burleigh / Palm Beach, Currumbin / Elanora, Surfers Paradise and Runaway Bay joined the celebrations, along with four members from Carindale.

It was an extra special celebration for four Nerang members who received their Decade Service Pin. Our Zone Councillor, Di Stamp, had the pleasure of presenting Val and Coral with a 10 year pin, Helen with a 20 year pin and Annette with a 30 year pin.

A delicious two-course lunch was enjoyed followed by entertainment from a very talented young man, Jack Watson.

The theme for our birthday was "Wear a Scarf". Four ladies won a prize for their creative and elegant scarf wearing skills. And the lucky door prize for each table was a scarf hand knitted by a member or friend of the Nerang VIEW Club. More home-made goodies were available on the Trading Table including cakes, slices, tomato relish, lemon butter, cauliflower pickles, knee and baby rugs, placemats, tea-towels and microwave bowl holders. Nine ladies left with a raffle prize and everyone left with a piece of birthday cake and lolly box.

The Smith Family + Blue Illusion + VIEW National Fundraising Shopping Day is on Thursday 17 September!

VIEW members are invited to join in the fun.

We encourage our VIEW Clubs to get behind this great campaign in support of The Smith Family - Shop for a Cause.

On Thursday 17 September, Blue Illusion stores across the country will be donating 7% of all proceeds from sales that day (in store and online) to The Smith Family.

Three ways you can support👇

- Get your VIEW friends together for an outing to your local Blue Illusion store.
- Tell your other friends to shop at Blue Illusion on Thursday 17 September
- Share this post so more people save the date.
