1st Nelson Bay Sea Scouts is located at 2 Norburn Ave Nelson Bay. We currently have a thriving Joey Scouts group and Scouts group. Scouts caters to all children from all backgrounds and all life settings. Scout - ages 11-15 meet on a Wednesday night 6.30-8.30pm. Cubs - ages 8-11 currently has a waiting list and hope to have our Cub group launching term 1 2023 (please message us for more inf

Venturer Scouts 15-17 and Rover Scouts 18-25 are currently not offered at 1st Nelson Bay Sea Scouts however with interest this could change. Parents or guardians of children who are interested in attending any of the groups listed above should message via this page or contact our group leader direct. Families are encouraged to come and give scouting a go and are welcome to visit and take part in our meetings. We conduct a 4 week trial period after which the child is invested into their group and they are then registered as an offical member of the Scouting movement. Active and creative kids vouchers can be used to offset the cost of NSW Scouting state registration. Parents of Joey aged scouts are required to accompany their Joey on all activities outside out hall eg: bush walks, beach walks and excursions. We also encourage parents to register as parent helpers to ensure the longevity of the group by meeting its supervision requirements for functioning. Scouting is a world wide movement that has shaped the development of young people and adults for over 100 years. Children and young people aged 5-25 enjoy an almost unlimited range of activities that build resilience, develop skills for life and contribute to our community. Over 47 Million Scout members in 170 countries can't be wrong! Scouting is one of the largest and most rapidly growing youth organisations in the world. We are constantly on the look out for new members but also new leaders and assistant leaders. Without adults to support the Scout members on their journey we are unable to run our group.
