Neerim District Progress Association

The Neerim District Progress Association is a community volunteer organisation representing the business, commercial and tourism industries.

Our community is welcome to join, we meet 3rd Monday of the month, 7pm. Currently via Video conference. Usually at the Algie Hall, Neerim South. The NDPA transformed Neerim South into an arts and tourism landmark with the Neerim Bower Inspired by Birds Project, the Wetlands project that delivers reclaimed water for the recreation reserve. And the public toilet upgrade. We are currently advocating

public access to the Tarago reservoir and park area for passive activities like canoeing, walking and cycling.

The annual Neerim District Photography Competition is open for submissions!

📷 Whether you're a professional photographer or an enthusiastic hobbyist, this is your chance to showcase your camera skills and make a positive contribution to the community.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The top 12 photos will feature in our 2027 calendar, with all proceeds from calendar sales going to Food Relief Neerim District Inc. who provide essential goods to families and individuals facing economic hardships.

🏆 Three prizes to be won:
First prize: $500 - sponsored by Community Bank Neerim District
Second prize: $200 - sponsored by Neerim District Progress Association
People's Choice Award - $250 - sponsored by IGA Neerim South

📅 Important dates:
Submissions close: Monday 31 August 2026
Winners announced: October 2026

Registrations are closing soon for the Neerim District Business Networking Breakfast.

With the current growth of the Baw Baw Shire, the opportunity for business growth in the Neerim District has never been so strong.
Our panel will explore the questions:
What is the opportunity for our District?
What do those in the District need to do to realise the opportunity?

There will also be time allocated to Q&A. If you would like to submit a question for our panel prior to the event, please email Stacey at [email protected]

From 28 February to 15 March, the Neerim District will come alive with art, sculpture and community spirit.
