We are getting excited – the September competition is nearly here 🎉

The draw and maps have been emailed out to riders, check your inbox for all the details.

We are looking for anyone who can spare a few hours on either day (Saturday 5th Sunday 6th September) to assist with helping on the day, it’s a great way to watch close up and learn about Working Equitation. If you can lend a hand please let us know by messaging here or email [email protected]

We have some great raffles organised, one drawn each day, so bring your spare coin and be in with the chance to win.

Huge thanks to The Bulletproof Goat for bringing the coffee and yummy food and treats to keep us going.

🎉 HOTY Competition – Entries Closing Soon! 🎉

Our next competition is just around the corner, and we’re getting excited! 🥳

If you’ve been thinking about entering, now is the time — spaces are filling fast and only a limited number of spots remain.

🐴 Saturday 5th September – Intro Level

One day only, dedicated to Intro level riders. Only a few spots are left! Come along, have some fun and enjoy the competition environment with loads of support throughout the day. 💕 Perfect for anyone wanting to give competition a go!

🏆 Sunday 6th September – All Other Levels

All other levels will be running on Sunday.

Entries close this Friday, so get in quick! Only a small number of spaces are still available.

ANWE NSW State Championships

What a fantastic weekend we had at the ANWE NSW State Championships at the picturesque Stonewall Equestrian. Hunter had nine riders representing our club, Belinda, Christine, Courtney, Jacqui, Joy, Justine, Kathie, Leanne and Michelle all did our club proud! Hunter appreciates all the time and effort Working Equitation ANWE NSW put in to host these competitions.

Cheers to our amazing support crew for all your assistance and encouragement throughout the weekend. There was also lots of fun around the campfire and catching up with friends from across the Working Equitation community.

Congratulations to all our riders on a fantastic weekend of competition and camaraderie!

Our next Competition Day 5-6 September

Our next competition day will be here before you know it.....bring it on! There are a handful of places available in every level, Intro, Prep, Prelim, Deb W and Deb F and the higher ones too! If you have been thinking about entering now is the time while there are still spaces available.

🏆 ANWE State Championships – Next Weekend! 🏆

Next weekend, the ANWE State Championships are being held at the picturesque Stonewall Equestrian at Mangrove Mountain.

We have nine Hunter riders entered and they’re all keen to compete at this wonderful venue and event. It’s sure to be a fantastic weekend of Working Equitation, with many clubs participating and riders across all levels showcasing their skills.

If you can, come along and watch! It’s a great opportunity to see Working Equitation at its best, support our riders and soak up the atmosphere.

🐴 The Hunter team will be based in Block A stables, so pop in, say hi and cheer us on if you’re there!

Out and About – Go Hunter Team! 🐴

Last weekend, several of our Hunter riders travelled to Wingham to compete at the Mid North Coast WEQ Competition. We had members competing across the weekend, with Merrill Phillips also invited to assist with judging duties.

A huge thank you to Mid North Coast WEQ for hosting such a well-run event and creating a welcoming, friendly and supportive atmosphere for all competitors.

Our riders competed in the Prep, Deb W and Deb F levels, achieving some wonderful results along the way. Congratulations to everyone who represented Hunter with such great sportsmanship and enthusiasm.

A special shout-out to our amazing support crew, who were always on hand to help wherever needed, cheer on the team, and keep everyone warm and well-fed with a cosy fire and delicious food.

Well done to everyone involved—we're proud of you all!

🌟 Another Fantastic Training Day! 🌟

Despite a few late scratchings due to some unwell ponies and riders, our Training Day last Sunday was a fantastic success!

A huge thank you to our wonderful instructors Cody Strong, Sue Middleton and Michaela Zemon-Deaves, for your time, effort, and commitment in helping our members throughout the day.

A special thank you to Sonya Crawford for for joining us and delivering an informative session on Scoot Boots and boot fitting. We're excited to be planning a dedicated fitting day for club members, offering a reduced fitting fee and the opportunity to receive a discount on new boots.

Our next event is our competition on 5–6 September, and entries are now open on Nominate! If you haven't entered yet, don't wait too long—secure your spot, come along, and enjoy a great weekend of riding and fun.

Training Day 2nd August Open to Members on Nominate

Our next Training Day Sunday 2nd August is now open for HWECI members of Nominate!

Members have the first opportunity to book before entries are opened to riders from other clubs, so be sure to get in quickly to secure your place.

Our Training Day last Sunday was a fantastic success, with a full day of riding, learning, and valuable advice. A huge thank you to our instructors and mentors Anna-Charlotte Kennedy Zemon-Deaves, Mind and Body, Richie Mattinson Merrill Phillips for sharing their knowledge and creating such a rewarding experience. Everyone went home happy, inspired, and just a little bit tired! 😊
