What did you get up to on Australia Day weekend?
Our Lions crew were hosting a Rock n Roll weekend at the Numurkah Town Hall.

Rock n Rollers from far and wide danced on in to the hall both Friday and Saturday nights.

Friday evening shoes were groovin' to Melbourne solo artist Bookman, DJ Rocket from Ballarat 🎶

Braving the heat on Saturday 🥵, lots rockers returned to listen to Melbourne based band, Cobr 🎷🪕🥁🎸
Just like previous years, both nights were a hugh success.

All profits from the weekend, including money raised from the raffles over both nights, was donated to Lions 201V6 foundation.

Lions PDG Julie Ballard accepted a donation of $3500 on behalf of V6 foundation. The money raised will be going to those affected by the recent Bushfires in the V6 district.

Well done to all the members and helpers on the night 🦁 😀

🦁 Numurkah Town Hall was a 'Rockin' n Rollin' this weekend with our Australia Day themed dances 🇭🇲
2 nights 2 dances with a tonne of fun!
Friday night saw 105 dancers entertained by the fabulous Bookman and DJ Rocket 🚀.
Super Saturday we had 120 folks jumping about to the the Jukebox Rock Band with DJ Rocket making a second appearance!
The hall looked the part decorated in native vegetation and Aussie Day colours.
All dancers dressed in their finest dresses and shirts, even a few donned Aussie themed outfits! 💃 🕺
With raffles and quizes, both nights were a great success.
Of course the Saturday night supper was splendid with all tucking in to sangas and slices to regain their energy to keep dancing out the night 😋
It takes quite an effort to put together a weekend of fun like this. Thanks to all involved whether it was taking bookings, making sangas and slices, decorating the hall, packing up at the end of the night or sweeping the floors, we appreciate your time and contribution. 🦁
