⏰ DAYLIGHT SAVING STARTS TONIGHT! ☀️

Just when you thought Sunday morning couldn’t come around any quicker… we’re stealing an hour from you! 😂

Daylight Saving starts Sunday, 4 October 2026 at 2:00 am, when the clocks jump forward to 3:00 am.

😴 One less hour of sleep
☕ One extra reason for coffee
☀️ But more daylight to enjoy in the afternoon!

🔥 And while you’re changing the clocks, it’s a great reminder to check your smoke alarms and change the batteries if required.

Because the only thing worse than losing an hour’s sleep is being woken up at 3:00 am by a smoke alarm doing the dreaded low-battery CHIRP… CHIRP… CHIRP! 😂🔋

Spring forward, check your smoke alarms and stay safe! ⏰🔥

🚨 DOUBLE DEMERITS ARE NOW IN PLACE 🚨

Heading away for the October Long Weekend? Wherever you’re travelling, make sure getting there safely is your number one priority.

VRA Rescue NSW Narromine is reminding everyone to slow down, stay alert and drive to the road and weather conditions.

🚗 Allow extra time for your journey
📵 Put the phone away
😴 Take regular breaks and don’t drive tired
🚫 Never drink and drive
🔒 Buckle up — every trip, every time
🤝 Be patient and courteous to other road users

The roads may be busier than usual, so there’s no need to rush.

It’s better to arrive a little later than not arrive at all.

From all of us at VRA Rescue NSW Narromine, enjoy the long weekend, look out for one another and, most importantly, get home safely.

☀️ THE SUN IS OUT — AND SO ARE OUR MEMBERS! ⚽️

VRA Rescue NSW Narromine members are out and about today, providing medical standby support at the Sixes Soccer Carnival.

Our team will be on-site for the next four days, helping ensure players, officials and spectators have access to medical assistance should it be required.

It’s another great opportunity for our members to support the local community while working behind the scenes to help keep everyone safe.

A big thank you to the organisers, participants and supporters who make community events like this possible. We’re proud to work alongside the people and organisations who give their time and effort to bring our community together.

We wish all teams the best of luck for the carnival — enjoy the sunshine, play hard and stay safe!

💙 National Police Remembrance Day – 29 September 💙

Today, VRA Rescue NSW Narromine pauses to honour and remember the police officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting their communities.

As emergency service personnel, we have the privilege of working alongside members of the NSW Police Force at incidents and operations, witnessing firsthand their professionalism, courage and commitment to keeping our communities safe.

We remember those who never made it home, acknowledge the families, friends and colleagues they left behind, and thank all serving and retired police officers for their service.

Their service. Their sacrifice. We will remember them. 💙

☀️ THE SUN IS OUT — AND SO ARE WE! 🏁

It’s shaping up to be a cracking day, and members of VRA Rescue NSW Narromine are out providing medical standby support at the Go Karts.

If you’re looking for something to do today, bring the family along, enjoy some fast-paced racing and soak up the sunshine. 🏎️💨

Our team will be trackside throughout the day, ready to assist if needed — although we’re hoping the only thing getting a workout today is the accelerator! 😎

Have a great day, enjoy the racing and stay safe.

💚🚨 HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO OUR RESCUE DADS! 🚨💚

Today, VRA Rescue NSW Narromine would like to wish a very Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, granddads, stepdads, father figures and our fellow Rescue Dads.

Many of our members balance being a dad with work, family commitments, training and answering the call when the community needs help. It’s a commitment made possible by the incredible support and understanding of their families.

To the families who share their dads with the rescue family — thank you. Your support behind the scenes plays an important part in everything we do.

We hope all the dads enjoy some well-earned family time today, a good feed, and hopefully a day where the pager stays quiet! 🚨😄

From all of us at VRA Rescue NSW Narromine, we wish every dad and father figure across our community a safe and very Happy Father’s Day! 💚
