Over the past three weeks, surrounded by an explosion of colour, we’ve proudly hosted five Graduation Ceremonies across our Casey and Peninsula Campuses, celebrating students from our VETDSS, Early Intervention & Re-Engagement and Community Education programs.

We were thrilled to welcome students, families and loved ones onsite - filling our spaces with pride, excitement and emotion. As staff, there’s nothing quite like seeing each student step forward to collect their folder…those moments of confidence, joy and recognition are everything.

This year, in addition to hearing from our staff, we were treated to speeches from students, parents and stakeholders. Stories of challenge, growth, resilience and connection reminded us just how powerful education can be, and how deeply Foundation Learning Centre supports our students in both their learning and personal journeys.

To our students, families, education teams, wellbeing support, admin staff, leadership and every person who contributes to this work - thank you! Your dedication, strength, compassion and belief make these programs what they are.

And to our students - congratulations! We are endlessly proud of you, and cannot wait to see what you do next. 🎓💛

Lead by our incredible Team Leader Nic Russell, our inaugural early childhood sector morning tea was held as a thank you to our partners and to open a conversation about best practice in student placement. Together with local early childhood leaders, we explored how training providers and services can work more closely to prepare students for the realities of the profession.

The discussion highlighted the importance of child safety, professional communication, clear expectations, and helping students understand the purpose behind early childhood education.

By sharing insights about what supports successful placements, our partners are helping us strengthen pathways, build confident new educators, and ensure quality outcomes across the sector.

🎬 No compensation is offered, however this is an interesting and fun opportunity for young children to take part in. A copy of the video can be provided.
👩‍👧Parents will need to stay for the filming session. This is not a drop-and-come-back-later situation.

🍝🌮𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡! 🍛🍜
Our Peninsula site is thrilled to host a fridge filled with delicious, plant-based meals that are available for students and their families that are facing food insecurity. Replenished twice weekly, this incredible initiative developed and supplied by .fresh.start and supported with a generous fridge donation by Mental Health & Wellbeing Local means that our young people can access food support when they need it most 💙

This collaboration between ourselves and two amazing organisations means that we can offer wider support to our young people and beyond.

We were delighted to welcome Flynn Rigby and Duaine Brown from Project Fresh Start and Louise Chadwick and Dean Killen from Mental Health & Wellbeing Local (Frankston) to our campus today to meet with EIR Team Leader Bianca Ellul, CEO Sarah Lynch and students Scarlett and Hind!
